i think a picture of st. margaret’s church got mixed in with the westminster abbey photos, but they are on the same property, less than ten feet from each other.
what was cool about st. margaret’s is that when you walked around inside and looked at the old plaques on the wall commemorating people over the centuries, one of them was for olaudah equiano, whose name has come up many times over the years in my history books. it said he was baptized there. he was an african who was an abolitionist in england. also it said that sir walter raleigh’s body was brought to this church after he was executed. interesting stuff. knid of exciting.
